Requirements for ordering a virtual number

Contact Information (Name, Business Name, Phone Number)

Contact information for the business or end user, including: (1) the name of the contact person (full given name and family name), (2) the business name when the end user is a business (registered legal name where applicable; may be omitted or stated as 'N/A' for individual end users), and (3) one or more contact phone numbers where the business or end user can be reached. Contact person name and at least one phone number are mandatory; business name is required only when the end user is a business entity. Phone numbers should be in international E.164 format where possible.

Local Government-Issued ID/Passport Copy or Local Company Registration Certificate

Either (a) a clear color copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued ID or passport for the individual end user (issued by the same country as the phone number); OR (b) a copy of the company registration or incorporation certificate issued by the local government registry of that same country. The choice depends on whether the end user is an individual (option a) or a business (option b). Documents from countries other than the phone number's country are not acceptable. ID/passports must show full name, photograph, date of birth, document number, and expiration date and must not be expired. Business certificates must show legal name, registration number, registration date, and registered address.

Example
For an individual end user with a Spanish phone number: a color scan of both sides of a Spanish DNI. For a business end user with a Spanish phone number: a copy of the company's registration certificate from the Spanish Registro Mercantil.

Spanish Tax ID: CIF (Business), DNI (Spanish Citizen), or NIE (Foreigner)

Spanish tax identification number, with the type depending on end user. For BUSINESS end users: the CIF (Certificado de Identificación Fiscal), the Spanish company tax ID, consisting of a letter (indicating company type, e.g., 'A' for S.A., 'B' for S.L.) followed by 8 digits (or 7 digits and a final check letter). The CIF also serves as the Spanish VAT number. For PERSONAL end users who are SPANISH CITIZENS: the DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad), 8 digits followed by a check letter. For PERSONAL end users who are FOREIGN RESIDENTS in Spain: the NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero), the letter X, Y, or Z followed by 7 digits and a check letter.

Address Matching the DID Area Code (Geographic Match)

A physical address that matches the geographic area covered by the phone number's area code. The address must include street name and number, postal/ZIP code, city, and country, and the city/region of the address must fall within the geographic area assigned to the DID's area code. Addresses outside the area code's geographic region are not acceptable for this requirement; a different (broader, national-level) address requirement must be selected if the customer cannot provide a matching local address.

Example
311 W Superior St, Chicago, IL 60654 (matches Chicago area code 312). For a +44 20 (Greater London) DID: an address within Greater London such as '60 Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2FD'. The address must lie within the area code's geographic boundaries.

Proof of Address (Recent Bill or Invoice)

A document evidencing the customer's physical address, issued within the past 3 months. Acceptable documents include utility bills (electricity, water, gas, internet, landline telephone), invoices from the current telecommunications provider, or insurance policy documents. The document must clearly show (1) the full name of the individual or registered business name (matching the order), (2) the complete physical address (street, postal code, city, country), and (3) the document issue date. Mobile phone bills, screenshots, handwritten documents, and bills older than 3 months are not acceptable.

Example
A PDF of the latest invoice from the customer's current phone provider, addressed to the end user at their registered address, with an issue date within the past 90 days; or an electricity utility bill with the same.

Physical Address Within the Country of the Phone Number (National)

A valid, real-world physical address located in the same country as the phone number being purchased. The address must include street name and number, postal or ZIP code, city, region or province (where applicable), and country. The address does not need to match the specific city or area code of the number; any address within the national borders is acceptable. P.O. boxes, virtual office addresses, mailbox-only services, and addresses outside the country of the phone number are not acceptable. The address should match the address shown on supporting identity or business registration documents where those are also required.
